The 5k race or 1 mile walk along the Brooklyn waterfront will benefit the I.S. 223 running program. The team consists of current students as well as I.S. 223 graduates. Our goal is to create life long runners and well rounded young citizens. The team is involved in other activities such as volunteering activities, a book club, museum visits and peer tutoring. So come out and join us for a great race with top 3 overall Male and Female awards, also 10 year age group awards including a 11-14 and 15-19 division. So come on out and join us for post race activites and meet this inspiring group of young men and women as well as mentor coach John Sorocco.
